Course Description
This 1 day foundation level course is an introduction to the key regulations (both new and legacy) surrounding the public procurement process. It will especially cover the new transparency reporting requirements, in procurement and contract management
Learning Outcomes
On completion Learners will be able to:
- Appreciate the basis for public procurement and how it is changing
- Understand the key principles and objectives underpinning national procurement legislation
- Understand the appropriate legacy and new procedures including the competitive flexible procedure
- Recognise new transparency notices, open framework and dynamic market concepts
- Understand how supplier selection, participation and evaluation works
- Understand the legacy and new contract award, debrief and standstill procedures

It is aimed at suppliers who are working, or want to work, with the UK government.
