How Will The Training Be Delivered?
The Level 4 Diploma programme takes a year to complete. Training will be online in a cohort of 12 maximum, in order to give a cross-section of learner experience.
The programme comprises 8 modules:
- Modules 1 and 8 are longer (6 x 3-hour weekly online sessions and an online 3-hour mock exam) assessed through answers to 4 ‘Constructed Response’ questions, requiring written answers that conform to the marking scheme. These require fuller analysis and crafting of answers, and therefore more practice. To help prepare learners, trainers will set specimen questions after each of the online sessions, and mark them by the next session in order to help embed learners’ exam techniques. The mock exam will also be marked by trainers.
- Modules 2-7 are shorter (3 x 3-hour weekly online sessions and an online 90-minute mock exam) and are assessed through ‘Objective Response’ multiple choice exams. Trial questions will be set after each session and marked by trainers in order to reinforce learning and to practice with the type of questions asked under examination.
In order to help students succeed, each session will involve class participation, group work and discussion, with consolidation of previous work through feedback on trial exam questions.
