What’s it like to be an Apprenticeship Assessor?
Once you have been allocated an apprentice, depending on the standard, you may visit their workplace to conduct Apprenticeship Assessment, such as an observation or an interview, or you can conduct a web conference call from your own home (depending the requirements of the standard specific Assessment Plan).
During the assessments you’ll be forming judgments on apprentice’s Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs). You will then complete a feedback template and report, ensuring the apprentice receives their feedback and grade within our ELS timelines. You will work closely with the ELS Apprenticeship Assessment Coordinators to schedule apprentices, conduct the assessments and provide feedback and grades.
You will be required to work with learner management systems, attend training, standardisation and keep your Continuous Professional Development (CPD) up-to-date.
