What is ACT Awareness?
The ACT Awareness e-Learning is a free, award-winning online course that aims to raise awareness of good practices to help counter terrorism and the role we can play in preventing and responding to terrorist incidents.
The e-Learning comprises of a core module which contains assured national guidance and various interactive learning activities, exploring topics such as suspicious activity, suspicious items, security vulnerabilities and bomb threats. In addition, the e-Learning offers a suite of optional bolt-on modules, providing users an opportunity to enhance their learning across various topics such as Personal Security, Current Threats, Guide Shelter Report and Postal Threats.
The ACT Awareness e-Learning is available via:
- The ProtectUK website for registered users
- Requesting a link and pin for organisation-wide completion (request here)
- A SCORM package for organisations with their own Learning Management System (LMS).
The course is owned by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) and has been developed with Explosive Learning Solutions (ELS), the appointed digital learning provider responsible for maintaining the e-Learning and providing technical support for organisations accessing the course.
