Norma Hart - Project and Programme Management Trainer
I have been an associate trainer for ELS since May 2017 when I delivered my first course in Glasgow. I had responded to an invitation from ELS boss Cath Convery for a trainer to cover Managing Successful Programmes. Cath convinced me that I should venture into new training areas. Although some of these were new topics for me I was coached in advance on the materials and encouraged to bring my existing training skills and techniques to the classroom. Being a co-trainer is also a new experience which I now regard as hugely beneficial for both students and trainers; a change of style and pace keeps the training fresh for the class and the trainers can learn from each other too. I have taught some of these courses in Glasgow and Bristol. I’ve been a visitor to the ELS HQ on the Harwell campus in Oxfordshire several times to teach PRINCE2 and the APM courses in project management.
I will be leaving my associate relationship with ELS for a new full time post. I have found them an engaging company to work for. The team are friendly and welcoming, the materials and trainer support is personal and relevant and the culture is positive and enabling. I wish ELS well in the future.
